The Everyday Story Of My Life.

Sensei Muse #1

So this morning I received two interesting emails from my Sensei, that went something like this:

Email #1

So one night a family broke into my house. They came through the poorly secured back gate and through a window. The five members of their family took up residence in my downstairs bedroom and bathroom. In the morning when I woke up I found them there. They had eaten all of the food in the fridge and left a pile of trash in the front yard. There are six members in my family; myself, my wife, and my four children. Because of this the trespassing family claims that they make up the minority of the house hold and need to receive not only an equal say in the operations of the house but also preferential treatment to protect them and their rights. As you can imagine I am furious. Not only has this family broken into my home but they are demanding that they be considered as partial owners of my home. These invaders are picking fights with my children and taking their possessions. In total frustration I called the police. When the police arrived much to my dismay they asked some questions and said that this invading family had rights. They insisted that we work together and forced us to have a household election to decide who would make the household policy. My family tried to argue that this made no sense and that it was our home. It was to no avail. The police insisted that we hold the elections. Immediately all six members of my family voted that the invaders be removed from our home and that the governmental authority be restored to me and my wife. As expected the invading family voted that they be allowed to stay and be given an equal share in the household authority. My family outnumbered their family by one member so we figured that we had it in the bag. Until the police told us that because they were the minority they needed special consideration. The police then gave the trespassing family special rights and told me and my family that if we infringed on their rights that we could be arrested for being intolerant.

Several years have now gone by my wife and I work hard in an attempt to support our family and give my children the best education money can buy. It is in vain though, the now resident invading family does odd chores around the house, doing a fair job at housekeeping, taking out the trash, and maintaining the garden. The cost to having them in our home far outweighs the small benefit of having these chores done. Additionally my children’s education has suffered from these arrangements. Ordinarily my wife and I would be able to provide our children with a high level of education but because we are supporting this additional family the overall education of all the children has suffered terribly. Because the invading family has managed to wreck our vehicles we have been forced to pay outrageous premiums for insurance and are forced to drive old cars that are nearly falling apart. All of this isn’t even the worst part. The mother of the trespassing family is pregnant – with twins – once these children are born they will be the majority. When that happens who knows what will happen. I suspect that they will force us to leave our home, and that the police will support them. What recourse do we have? I am not sure. If you can help us in any way please do so.

The most powerful man in the world is the president of the USA…but
The president is controlled by people behind the scenes – in most cases one of these people would have the most sway…
For the sake of argument say the most important thing in the world to this man who controls the president of the USA is his wife…
And for the sake of argument say that the most important thing in the world to the wife is their son…
And now suppose the most important thing in the world to their son is a stuffed rabbit.
and suppose i could kidnap the stuffed rabbit…
Can you say that the most powerful being in the world is a stuffed rabbit?
As you can probably guess, I was quite amused and intrigued by these emails and felt the need to share them to the world. So tell me, what do you think? Go ahead, leave your comments. ;P
